2. Data We Collect

None.

Safe Scan QR does not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal data on our servers. Specifically:

• No analytics or tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or any other analytics service.
• No advertising SDKs: We do not include any advertising frameworks. There are no ads in the app.
• No crash reporting services: We do not use Crashlytics, Sentry, or similar services that transmit data.
• No user accounts: There is no sign-up, login, or account system.
• No network requests: The app does not make network requests to our servers or any third-party servers during normal operation.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted:

• Scan history: A record of codes you have scanned, including the code content, type, safety assessment, and timestamp.
• Created QR codes: QR codes you generate in the Create Studio.
• App preferences: Your chosen theme, accent colour, and other settings.

This data is stored in the app's private sandbox. It is not accessible to other apps and is deleted when you uninstall Safe Scan QR.

4. Camera Access

Safe Scan QR requires camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device in real-time. No images or video frames are stored, transmitted, or recorded. Camera access can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

5. AI Safety Analysis

The AI-powered safety scoring (phishing detection, domain analysis, threat assessment) runs entirely on-device using a locally bundled model. No URL, domain, or scan content is sent to any external service for analysis. The safety database is bundled with the app and updated through standard app store updates.

6. Third-Party Services

Safe Scan QR does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The only external connections are:

• App Store / Google Play: Standard platform distribution. Apple and Google's own privacy policies apply to the store itself.
• Font loading (website only): The safescanqr.com website loads fonts from Google Fonts. This does not apply to the mobile app.

7. Children's Privacy

Safe Scan QR does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR). Since we collect no data, there is no data to protect — by design.

8. Data Retention

Since we collect no data on our servers, there is nothing to retain or delete. Local data on your device persists until you clear the app data or uninstall the app. You are in complete control.

9. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA)

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have rights regarding your personal data. Since Safe Scan QR collects no personal data:

• Right to access: There is no data to access.
• Right to deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
• Right to portability: No data exists on our end to port.
• Right to object: There is no processing to object to.

If you believe we hold any data about you (we don't), contact us at privacy@eduard-vlase.com and we will respond within 30 days.

10. International Data Transfers

There are no international data transfers because there is no data transfer of any kind. All processing is local to your device.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify users through an app update. Our commitment to zero data collection will not change.
