Last updated: 29 May 2026The short version: Safe Scan QR is free to use. You don't need an account. We provide the app "as is" — scan results and safety scores are advisory, not guaranteed. Don't use it for anything illegal.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Safe Scan QR ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you ("User", "you") and Eduard Vlase Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.
2. Description of Service
Safe Scan QR is a mobile application that provides:
- QR code and barcode scanning and decoding
- AI-powered safety analysis of scanned URLs and content
- QR code generation (Create Studio)
- Scan history and library management
- AI-powered assistant for scan-related queries
All features are provided free of charge with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertisements.
3. Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices
- Use the App in any automated or non-human manner
4. Safety Scores and AI Analysis
Advisory only. The AI-powered safety scores, phishing detection, and URL analysis provided by the App are intended as helpful guidance, not as a guarantee of safety or security.
- A "safe" score does not guarantee that a URL is free of all risks
- A "risky" score does not necessarily mean a URL is malicious
- Safety analysis is based on heuristics and locally stored pattern databases, which may not cover all threats
- You are ultimately responsible for deciding whether to open a link, connect to a network, or take any other action
We strongly recommend exercising your own judgement alongside the App's safety assessments.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You will not:
- Use the App to scan codes or access content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
- Use the Create Studio to generate QR codes for fraudulent, deceptive, or malicious purposes
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any security features of the App
- Use the App in any way that could damage, overburden, or impair its functionality
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, branding, icons, and user interface, is the intellectual property of Eduard Vlase Limited and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
QR codes you generate using the Create Studio are yours. We claim no ownership over content you create or scan.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of safety scores or AI analysis
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Eduard Vlase Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, profit, or business opportunity
- Damages arising from reliance on safety scores or AI analysis
- Damages arising from accessing URLs, networks, or content identified by the App
- Damages arising from QR codes generated using the App
Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is zero).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Eduard Vlase Limited from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Eduard Vlase Limited regarding the use of Safe Scan QR.
